Last December 6, Google introduced continuous scrolling to desktop search results in the US.
With this update, desktop users can now scroll through multiple search result pages without additional clicks, making the user experience similar to that on mobile devices.
This isn’t infinite scroll, though.
Google clarified that “when you reach the bottom of a search results page, you’ll now be able to see up to six pages of results.”

This update will not change your search positions and will have no impact on Google Search Console data.
However, it can help you gain more visibility on SERPs since users will now see more results before hitting a roadblock.
We’ve yet to receive official word about when this new feature will roll out for Australian users, but we’re definitely looking forward to when it finally does. Stay tuned for more updates.
